Automated Uniform Distribution

Hiemac Electronic Wardrobe

Lets the employees get their own uniform

 Electronic wardrobe
The Hiemac Electronic Wardrobe drastically reduces staff waiting times during peak change-over periods as shown here at Melbourne’s Crown Casino Complex.

The Hiemac Electronic Wardrobe is a fully automated, computer-controlled garment storage and retrieval system.
Simply swipe your regular ID card across the scanner, wait approximately 10 seconds, a door will open and a complete uniform or locker bag is presented to you.
At the end of the day put your uniform or locker bag back into the system in exactly the same way.
The Hiemac Electronic Wardrobe can reduce wardrobe labour by up to 75% or more and reduce service time by 50% all depending on the initial operating organisation.

Electronic wardrobe
Swipe your personal ID card once and wait as your uniform is automatically brought to you in seconds.
  • Handle peak staff change-over periods with ease. Eliminate staff waiting times.
  • Reduce wardrobe operating costs - because staff take and put back their own uniforms, wardrobe costs are reduced markedly.
  • Move, process and store more uniforms with less operators and less effort.
  • Decrease the time to process uniforms and work with a happier and more productive staff.
  • Reduce lifting and carrying of garments and cut out work-cover claims.
Electronic wardrobe
Reduce necessary wardrobe staff numbers by empowering your workers to retrieve and drop-off uniforms at the swipe of a card.

The Australian designed and manufactured Hiemac Electronic Wardrobe has been adopted by some of the largest casinos in Australia including Crown Casino, Star City and Burwood Casino - many of which have reported million-dollar annual savings and investment recovery in less than a year.

 Electronic wardrobe
After the employee swipes his ID card, a fully automated Hiemac carousel carries the correct garment to the Electronic Wardrobe pick-up at speeds up to 30m per min.

Once staff have accepted their uniforms using their personal ID swipe card and worked their shift, they simply drop it off again at a chute which delivers their clothes to the appropriate laundry bag. The uniforms are then catalogued and placed into bags according to size, style and cut whereby a Hiemac Speed Rail can take them straight into the back of a truck destined for the laundry. Once the clothes have been cleaned, they can be placed back onto the rear of the Hiemac Electronic Wardrobe Carousel during the quieter times of the day.
The Hiemac Electronic Wardrobe has a computer controlled auto-indexing carousel as its storage and retrieval system. It has a uniquely simple PLC controlled select and separate mechanism to allow easy removal of the correct garments and has a safe automatic door system.

After insertion, the staff member’s swipe card is read by the main database computer and this in turn sends the appropriate numbers to the Hiemac Electronic Wardrobe control system, and the carousel starts rotating immediately.

Electronic wardrobe
Freshly laundered garments are replaced at the rear of the carousels during the quieter times of the day directly from slick rail trolleys.

Electronic wardrobe
After staff have finished with their uniforms, they are thrown into laundry baskets where they can be easily catalogued and taken to the laundry using a Hiemac Speed rail.

A staffed wardrobe counter is rarely efficient - staffing levels are set to meet peaks in demand and as a consequence, the counter staff are not busy between shifts. While they have other duties, these become inefficient due to the constant demand for counter service.
